Some new updates. Caleb did great with daddy-time therapy tonight. I am trying hard to teach him colors. He is having a hard time with that. He is learning how to walk backwards, jump, and pick up heavy objects and raise them over his head. He is tracking with his eyes further to the left which I am VERY excited about. I can see him strain when his eyes get to a certain point. But we have to keep working on it.
I will no longer be preaching as of this Sun. in order to give my full attention to Caleb’s therapy and to family. Our decision was one that was made after many weeks of praying, seeking God’s guidance, and seeking the wisdom of others. As such Tiffany and I came to the conclusion that we needed to be plugged in somewhere where we could mutually have other families to help us and others who have gone through similar things that we have experienced, plus Tiffany and I feel the need for wise counsel for ourselves (dealing with the emotions that have come from Caleb’s injury), as well as we need to get Colby some help for things he is dealing with. After expressing these concerns with the elders we by mutual agreement decided that it was best for my family to step down from the position to let God direct and guide what and where our focus should be next.
We will soon be approaching a publisher for the book. As I have been seeking God’s guidance there have been a number of doors that have opened up recently that seems to be pointing in a particular direction. While we don’t have enough yet to go on to say that it is a done deal, we certainly have a pathway ahead of us that we are going to pursue, that could lead to the book being published by a nationally known publisher. Over the next few weeks we will be approaching a nationally known editor who is affiliated with this publisher.
We ask that you continue to pray for our family, my work/ministry, the book, Colby’s heart, and most importantly Caleb’s continued progress. The things to be focused on in prayer are his eye sight, his ability to have balance while moving and walking, and his ability to string more than one word together to create a sentence. We are really working on getting him to say 2 and 3 word sentences.
Thank you so much for all your prayers and for your continued love of our family. Blessings.
