Quick Note Regarding Caleb’s Updates…

Caleb's Dad ~ 6th December 2010

Hey everyone…as you know I have been trying to catch up on Caleb’s daily progress entries.  I had about 3 more to go, not including 1 for today.  We have worked all day getting things ready to go home, and after doing the interview with WTVF Channel 5 in Nashville, and working on the statement for the press conference Wednesday, I am going to retire and actually sleep some tonight. We have to be up and early in the morning as we go through out final discharge formalities, as well as be interviewed again by WKRN Channel 4 from Nashville.  I plan to finish these updates soon, probably in the next couple of days.

Here is today’s update in super short order…Caleb crawled on his own tonight, walked with Tiffany only holding ONE hand of his, is vocalizing nearly all the time, and even reacted happily when we told him we were going home. Talk to you all soon.

Many of you have asked if the updates will continue, and yes they will…until our son has a full recovery.  God bless you all.

094Would you consider adding Caleb to your church and personal prayer lists? Also a fund has been set up to help offset Caleb's ongoing medical expenses and related costs. Thank you for your love and support! Donations via PayPal can be made by clicking here:

Awesome news! Super excited for you all today! By the way, my church has some cards to send your family. I had originally planned to send them to Scottish Rite, but since you all are going home (again – awesome!), I will need to mail them to another address. Would you mind posting a new address or email me the address where I can send the cards. Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Since the beginning when you asked for prayers for Caleb’s healing.
We have stood with you claiming total healing for Caleb in Jesus name.
God has and is granting a miracle. God needs to receive all the glory for the wondrous thing that He has done. It is true that doctors and modern medicine aid in healing and recovery, but GOD must be praised and given
full credit for answered prayers. Enjoy your son, stand in faith and trust God for Caleb’s total healing. God bless you and your family.

Tim I am so happy for your being able to take Caleb home! You will continue to see much progress when he is in his own surroundings. GOD is so faithfull we have seen it with Brody and now thru Caleb it is just amazaing what his love will do for you! All the prayers are being answered and will continue to be answered. I wanted so badly to be able to come visit you all before you headed home but was unable. I will continue to keep in touch and when things are good I look forward to us being able to let Brody and Caleb get to play together! That was the word Brody brought home with him from TC Thompson from the play room, he wants to play! Thank you for sharing your journey with us and look forward to continuing as he recovers.

Hey guys, sorry we didn’t make it to your place tonight, but from the news coverage, it looks like you weren’t lonely. :) We hope to see you at mom’s on the 18th and celebrate this wonderful Christmas with you all. I actually may be at Vanderbilt tomorrow visiting another friend, so maybe I’ll bump into you there. Welcome home!

Jennifer just found out a few days ago about Caleb she has been without internet for almost all of last year. She was hit three times last year by floods in Mt. Juliet and the last and most severe flood left her and the boys homeless in August. She was getting on her feet by then and was set back again getting a rental place for her and the boys as the possibility for a law suit looms on her home with Wilson county. She was in a head on collision about a month ago on West Division in Mt. Juliet after picking up the youngest from daycare she and the boys very lucky as her car was a total loss. She had a cop right behind her when the accident (West Division under construction @ the time with uneven lanes and shoulder) happened she was not speeding just over corrected after dropping off the shoulder of the road. That set her back again and it took a while to get a vehicle again and she could not drive for sometime anyway as her foot was really messed up along with her knee. She was on the internet for the first time in a vary long time and she called me right away. I remember you so well and visiting you over by Glencliff High School all those years ago. I was so sorry to hear about the trauma you and your family have been through since this happened. I so love my children and grand children and don’t know what I would do if something happened to them. I do know this some things do make you stronger and some of us are put through trials and tribulations for some divine purpose. I truly believe God has a reason and a purpose for all of us even someone as small as Caleb his story my help inspire another family or help someone who was lost be found again. I hope and pray with all my heart that Caleb continues to improve and that his eyesight improves as well as his motor skills. My second child Steven is legally blind in one eye due to a four wheeler accident on April 22, 2002. I have been through many eye appointments, eye injections, eye drops, the advancement of Glaucoma and finally surgery. But despite it all he got his drivers license this past year at 19 and I was so proud of him. He will never have the use of his eye again but Steven is Steven and Caleb is Caleb and they will always be our children and our love will guide them till the day we die just as God loves all his children and watches over them from on high. Always keep the faith and Gods hand will shield, protect, comfort and bless us till the day we pass from this earthly plain. Best wishes for Caleb in his continued recovery and God bless you all.
